Decode a state or UT name to its IFCT sampling region

Maps Indian state and union territory names to one of the six geographical regions used for food sampling in IFCT 2017.

Usage

decode_region(state)

Arguments

state

Character vector of state/UT names.

Value

Character vector of region names ("North", "East", "South", "West", "Central", "Northeast"), or NA for unrecognised names.
